Some companies has a special relationship with google to allow them to give out free google adwords vouchers (typically £30 / £50) as an incentive to sign up to their services.

when I bought a domain the registra gave me a £30 adwords voucher, I never used it.

I then wanted to use google webmaster tools, signed up and verified my site...after a week or two I had an email from google with free £30 adwords voucher...as I wasnt launching yet I didnt use that either...

about 6-8 weeks after signing up to webmaster tools I recieved another email from google with a £75 adwords voucher so used that one when i launched.

All the ones I have seen say in the terms that you must not have used adwords on that account before, have you got webmaster tools yet? might be worth signing up - seeing if you get the £30 voucher - ignore it and wait for a £75 one!

Hello,

It is possible to obtain free Google Adword vouchers but what you will find is most of them are for US only as this is what country Google always decided to run the promo in.

I've been given one for £75 recently ... no conditions on it either, except a date to use it by!

You can only use it once per adwords (gmail) account and the company offering them get commissions from google for your additionl spends.

One well known webhost makes more money from the "free" adwords they give out than the cr@p hosting they sell ...

Would love to use the vouchers google send me but they have to be used with a new account. I have had my account for ages. I use the same email address for all my google things too. You think they would check instead of sending me vouchers I cant use :(

Even when it comes from a trusted source you need to be careful if you are not a user of the paid service. When you register the voucher you still have to give your credit or debit cards details and pay a £5 "deposit", then if you don't keep an eye on its progress you'll find you run up a bill.

Nothing you can't avoid with a bit of due care and attention admittedly, but worth flagging up all the same.

Hi,
We've had customers that have been scammed and "promised to be number one" and relieved of hundreds (sometimes thousands) of pounds by misleading sales companies - some of whom even 'claim' to be Google(!) As one new customer recently said.. "You don't get nought for nought". :)

Best Regards,
Paul

I don't think Google will see your post here.

Why not to write to them instead? I'm sure they would be interested to hear.

As everyone else has mentioned the best you can expect is a voucher for anything up to £75, I had a similar situation where I continually ignored googles voucher offering and every two weeks or so they would send me a larger value voucher.
