Hi

I'd like to introduce myself. Would you like a Marketing Manager working for you, for just £590 per month? - less than the National Minimum wage!

I am a CIM qualified Marketing Manager with over 15 years specific marketing experience, working for both SME's and major corporates, in the B2B, B2G & B2C sectors.

As well as being capable of pulling together strategic plans, I also have a range of hands-on skills including:

Online marketing - with knowledge of Contents Management systems, HTML and Dreamweaver, SEM, SEO, PPC etc
Print and production - with knowledge of Photoshop, preparing artwork, selecting and brief printers
Direct mail - with knowledge of the entire direct mail process from data sourcing, selection, segmentation, copy writing, pack production, briefing mailing houses or packing in-house
Events - sourcing, organising, collateral, stands

So how can I possibly work for you for so little?

Well I currently look after three divisions of a company already and a couple of SME's, but in January I will space for another company. I work for home and have learnt to be extremely efficient, meaning that I could handle all your marketing needs quite easily.

Plus, I charge the same flat-rate for my time, just £590 per month, regardless of what you ask me to do, making it easy for you to budget.

Already have a marketing dept?

If you already have a marketing dept this could be a flexible cost effective solution. Outsourcing some of your marketing activities to me will enable you to increase your activity. At just £590 per month you get access to the skills of a qualified person without having to employ an extra person.

Don't do any marketing?

Well this could be the perfect way to test the water and see exactly what could be achieved. I can help with everything from drawing up you marketing plan to implementing your first campaign. Just consider me the marketing dept of your business and refer everything to me - all for just £590 per month.

Interested?

If you're interested and would like to outsource all or some of your marketing activities to me for just £590 per month, give me a call on my mobile on 07906 751463 and I will be happy to talk to you further.

Kind regards

I think it is safe to assume you would give your best marketing efforts to your own business?
If this is how you market yourself, i'll pass. I'm not convinced such an amateur approach is what my company needs.

Steve

PS if you want any air conditioning in your office, buy some off me because I'm really, really good......and dead cheap.

Hi Steve

Thanks for your positive comments.

Call it old fashion but I simply don't believe in ripping my clients off, especially during a recession.

Good luck with your air conditioning business. I think you've already given us a good idea about how you operate!

Does the CIM have the power to prevent you from operating as a marketeer? By this I mean is it a recognised professional body with powers of veto?

Strange, You heighten a defensive posture on ripping clients of and then push that onto Steve. I dont think he was making that comment.

I think Steve had a valid point though. Your marketing 3 companies already that means a fourth client would only get 25% of your attention.
Or would that be wrong.

Personally, if I had a marketing bod doing my stuff, I'd want - as a business owner - to be able to trust them to put out decent copy for me...

A quick look - scan only, mind you - and I spotted at least two grammatical errors, and I'm no expert!

Welcome to the forum, but no thanks;)

I'm not old fashioned but general forum etiquette suggests that in an introduction forum......you introduce yourself.
Then the best thing to do is maybe join in with a discussion, maybe help someone out a little. Only then are you qualified to spam with the most ill crafted sales letter I have ever had the misfortune to read in my life.

Thank you for wishing me well with my business, who knows what heights I could reach with a multi-talented marketeer on board.
Maybe I can get you to draft me introductory sales letter?

Hopefully, yes, regular members do have an idea of how I operate, if they are not sure please let me tell you all. "I will never ever show you the worst job I have ever done, never. Especially if I am trying to sell you you"

Regards

Steve

Wow. This is a rough place. But I guess the feedback is really useful if you take it in the right way.

Robin, can I humbly suggest that you start again. Imagine this as a cocktail party. We're all chatting with each other and have been doing so for a while now. When somebody new wanders in and immediately changes the subject - "enough of that lets talk about ME". Most people would be inclined to be a little harsh in their judgement.

Instead, how about gently contributing to the conversation, pop in a few pearls of wisdom on some of the marketing threads. Your reputation as an expert grows and people are more inclined to take what you have to say seriously.
