If I want to pay myself £1000 dividends, will I have to make an entry in my companys accounting books as £1111 for dividends?

No, The dividend is £1,000, so that is the amount of the payment and the amount that you enter in the books

There is no need to make any reference to the tax credit, which is a purely notional figure

Wednesday lunchtime, and no intention of returning after lunch! ;)

Back in next week, because (a) it's busy and (b) I'll get booted out for being a grumpy old git . It suits me because I can get loads finished off next week.

Anyway, you're posting - not in your spare time surely?!
