I'm sooo annoyed. I finally get a lovely big order from an interior designer and have a week and a half off over Christmas to paint.

Now guess what?..............The canvas supplier is closed until 3rd Jan!!!!

Can anyone find me a 48"x36" canvas?

Do you have a Partners store near you, they sell them here. Not sure how big they are though.

No, sadly not but they dont do that size as it is bespoke. Thanks anyway Jayne

Have you tried stretching your own?

Or a shop called Just Books do them, do you have one of those?

Stretching my own involves saws, wood and nails! Not me I'm afraid LOL

All the others would involve posting, it would take ages to get to you.

I'm lucky here, got loads of Art suppliers over the road, plus i'm into watercolour, so it's easier to get paper than canvas.

Never heard of them either!!

We have some great art supply shops, but when you want anything bigger than 40x40 you either have to pay the earth in Hobbycraft or order online

Just in case any of you panicked so much that you couldn't sleep I found a shop in Southend that will stretch my canvas and I'm picking it up tomorrow!! Sadly for DarrenC and his order, they cant manage to make one long enough for him, so he'll have to wait until the 3rd.

My faith in Christmas closing has been restored.
