I always wondered who bought those !

As for the best invention, there are so many good ones I wouldnt really like to choose the best. The compter/microprocessor and releted items have to be high on the list

Surely the aeroplane has to rate highly?

We can travel nearly anywhere in a short period of time (generally).

The plane has helped bridge the gap between many countries and cultures, and, dare I say it, between many participants of the 'Mile High Club.'
Cheers, Nigel

Bags of Ice.....Nic your sooo lazy. Have you tried the ice bags in the supermarkets?

Just like freezer bags but with little pockets. Fill them with water and when frozen pull on all four sides to loosen. 48p for a box of 50. I love them!

There are loads of great inventions, I admire inventions that make the inventor lots of money but most importantly improve the world.

Cats eyes, inventor sold the idea and made lots of money, the invention save lives

Harry Ferguson - Tractor man, invented a linking thing to join tractors to ploughs, made money and saved lots of lives.
