View Full Version : help needed removing advert from website?

Ive got an advert on our site that i dont want there anymore.

I guess i have to go into the system and remove the code i cant remember how to do it! Its been a long time.

Its a Modx system.
If anyone can help thanks. I will log back in later and see if there are any replys to help me remove it!

You'd need to show us the page so we can tell you where to edit the code... link the url...

...you could use your toolbar to edit in MS Frontpage or Adobe 'whatever' and highlight the add by selecting it then viewing the text editor window. All the related code should be selected then delete...

If not sure don't play with it.

modx is one of those CMS written php (i think it's not that as straight forward as a normal editor can see where the codes are as the ads are loaded from external source)

he just needs some code editing himself - look like a simple task like others said / disable the corresponding module installed as it's sometime hard for others to find out where did he edit the php code.

Personally, I think "deleting" is more dangerous than adding as sometimes, u just delete less / more than it should if the code didn't write properly
