Dear All,

I have a parking ticket for £60 that I would like to avoid paying. I was parked on double yellows outside of a doctors surgery (eventhough I did not go in). Any suggestions on this theme?

Kind regards,

poshgaffer

If you don't pay it then it will just go up to 90 pounds. Were you sat in the car at the time?

Nic

No I was over the road at the bank. Business banking of course..

Pay it before it goes up?

You took the risk by double-parking - so accept the consequences. It's not the end of the world! :) :)

Hi,

I got one because the opticians were running late. I got a letter from the optician and sent it to the council and got my fine squashed :D

Was that because you couldn't read your watch to see you were late?

might be tough to get a letter from the bank saying it was their fault you were parked on double yellow outside a doctors .....

you don it, you know you shouldn't have, pay it and get on with life.

Pay up and learn your lesson if you dont want to pay another fine (suddenly the £2.50 fee for using the cash machine in the local shop seems reasonable)

It was a ticket thing, I was 10 mins late that's all and my ticket ran out. And no I couldn't see my watch, I was i'll, nearly passed out after the optician bill
