For my new start online business, I would like to know the best way of dealing with returns whilst I'm working in my full time job. I've done some initial research and have a vague plan in place at the moment, but I'm not sure if there's a better way, so any advice on this would be gratefully received.

My vague plan consists of using a mailbox rental service. But, these seem quite small - and so might not necessarily hold a parcel that is being returned to me (if the customer buys a number of products). The mailbox rental co I've spoken to has said that if it's oversized, they'll hold it for me, but it couldn't go into the mailbox, which means I won't be able to access it outside of office hours (when I can actually get to it).

Any ideas, please?

You could ask royal mail to hold your post so you can collect it from them, you can do this with a PO Box address maybe without.

Or you can get those secure metal boxes you put outside your house which the post man can put a parcel in and lock it. Google "secure parcel box" here's an example www.parcelsafeuk.com

(Or you could give such a good service that you don't get any returns.)

Thanks, for the responses.

However, I didn't want a PO Box number as feel these don't do much to build trust - which is why I was going to go for a mailbox service with a geographical address. I didn't want to use my home address either.

I've since realised that I will be able to gain access oversized parcels on Saturdays as mailbox place is open then. So, perhaps this is the best solution for me ater all - at least initially.
