I've notified HMRC that my company is dormant as i'm still setting up, but does it become active when I start buying stock, or I start trading?

Thanks

Hi, I had this exact same situation.

I spoke to HMRC, who said that, whilst i was buying stock i was dormant, but became active at the point that i was actively looking for clients - for me when my website went live.

Hope that helps

Thanks SEE

I'm hoping to order all my stock in the next few weeks, bank account gets opened tomorrow and website will be built and live in Jan/Feb next year, so i'll notify HMRC then.
