I read Steves recent topic asking what we are all genuinely experts in.

Here's another slant on the same topic. Who do you know that is an expert in your opinion? Do you have someone you always turn to with any questions you have in specific areas? It'd be good to build up a list of recommended people. They don't have to be other UKBF members.

I know a guy called Tim, I taught him a little programming about 4 years ago. He's know way past my level in a few areas. He's not brave enough to leave the world of gainful employment, but if you need someone to help progam anything in .Net or using Web Services then he's your man. tim@mcowan.info

For all things relating to the technical side of Streaming Media and Digital Rights Managment then Ben Allen at www.agcl.com is certainly the man. Be prepared for a high phone bill and a sweaty ear though : )

For taking Streaming Media to the next level and doing some seriously cool stuff with interactive presentations etc then it's Steven at www.datmedia.co.uk every time.

Sorry mine are all techy : )

I was gonna say the same thing. I think Eagle is incredibly talented.

I'd also say the same about both my designers, but they have strengths in different areas. One for the graphical side, like Eagle, and the other for colour schemes and minimalism.

I'm sure there are many talented people on these forums, but I don't see their work. Not a single client cares about the programming I do, as they don't understand what goes into it. They just want it to work and be easy to use.

clients misunderstood view of programmers:

'We pay you to deliver on time, not to test it'

clients misunderstood view of programmers when it doesn’t work:

" We pay you to make sure it works, delivery isn't important"

Well, it's true. I really was impressed at your portfolio, especially after seeing all the "web designers" out there who can't actually design. Was a nice shock. Livewire surprised me as well, cos there's a fair few decent design companies on there.

Seconded, nice portfolio Eagle with some slick work, will keep you in mind for the future providing you're affordable.

Good one
