Hi to the board,

Here is my problem. I do not know anything about setting up a website apart from establishing a few pages on www.freewebs.com/billygarraty which is pretty straight forward.

I would like to ask the professionals how much space and bandwidth I would require to setup a sort of portal ( maybe 20 pages ) I intend to start off small targeting a specific area of the U.K. and would then hope to gradually expand to incorporate the whole of the U.K. followed by possibly the U.S. Canada, Australia.

Intially my site would incorporate pages of info that would not need to be updated daily, however some of the pages would have to be changed daily.

I am thinking of hosting and building my site with freewebs premium as I can build the site and maintain it myself. I already have my domain name registered with 123.

Any advice grately appreciated.

Rgds - JB

Hi JB, well if you don't know much about setting up a website I'd highly recommend either taking a crash course in web design, getting a designer or using a web design package like Joomla/Mambo etc

As for space - really it depends on the graphics you use - but for 20 or so pages (like the link you put) you'll only need a tiny amount of space, you may need more bandwidth if your site gets busy!

Any host that supplies a range of auto-install scripts should be able to help you. I've never used freewebs so can't comment on their stuff.

Hope this helps a bit.

Any more questions just ask!

Hi JB,

i have been shown freewebs in the past and think it would suffice for creating a simpleish site.

In terms of hosting i agree with matrixx it is unlikely to occupy much room.

If you would like more information on our hosting plans please contact us.

Kind Regards
