^ Still up. Isn't insomnia great?! :D

For me, it's not insomnia. I take advantage of every moment of every day to pursue my dreams. It may be such very hard work right now, but it will pay off in the future.

Lots of energy is needed when you're in business. I have to switch off, or I would never sleep.

Do you find Eagle, that when you work through the night, you can guarantee the bin men or some lovely DIY man decides to start work at 8.00am just to annoy you

That was the draw back to working through I found, done it many times when I did design and also with the bakery. I love working in the night, so quiet, then some plonker spoils your sleep next morning..lol

It's a double-edged sword to be honest. I've found that over the years some of my best work has been produced when I'm suffering from sleep-deprivation induced hallucinations. :D

Seriously. :)

It's true, my best paintings are done in the middle of the night and my best ideas.

Two days is the longest i've managed, then I slept for 10 hours solid, felt crap when I woke up. We used to do all nighters to get the stuff done for Christmas in the bakery, before we could aford staff...It's much better now.

I am a night person too, hate early mornings, i'm very grumpy until 10am at the shop

I did a 72 hour day working on some programming project. I refused to let it beat me so did it all at once. Then slept for 5 hours and was fine.

But I won't be doing that again. I got to the stage where I was resting my head in my hands, yet I was so tired I didn't have the energy to hold myself up, so just collapsed on my desk.

Try caffine tablets and eat chocolate, lots of tea or coffee...

Worked for me

Since I fly to different time zones almost weekly, I've learned to sleep at will. I can sleep whether it's light or dark outside; I can sleep lying down, sitting down, or standing up. Usually, I can get myself to sleep in a matter of seconds.

It didn't used to be that way. If you travel a lot, I think your body adapts to meet the need.

Now that's handy.

Nothing good on the forums? I'll go to sleep for an hour.
Dinner ready in 30 minutes? Quick nap

Perhaps, Steve, you have not considered that the onset of middle age may be the reason?
cheers, Nigel

I took caffine out of my diet last year and never looked back, no more insomnia for me, I sleep like a baby.

The only downside was when I took some extra strong pain killers for a headache not knowing they contained a heavy dose of caffine. I was so wired I didn’t sleep a wink for 48 hours.

I don't have trouble sleeping at all, I drink lots of tea etc to keep myself awake on purpose, when I have work to do and their isn't enough time to do it :D

This forum does little to help insomnia, who needs caffeine to rev em up when we have Jayne and her dating threads!

Does anyone know what has been the most popular thread so far? Be careful with your answer!
