If you google them they will give you all the details. If you register you will get endless reminder emails. I used a voucher my self this week but I googled the company that I was buying from namemyvouchercode and all other companies offering a valid voucher will appear! I received £15.00 off which helped...

They do not charge you but use your company affiliate link for a commision refferal. This site caused major riots in the affiliate world when launched but does have a huge market share!

They are still courting controversy with the affiliate world.
Some is down to jealousy that they have such a market share and some is because they don't play by the rules on some levels.

Personally we haven't offered any discount vouchers for a long time but they will still list them but as expired as they want the traffic (rather than delete the offers off).

We ran an experiment regarding voucher codes to see if they create more sales vs the amount of profit lost due to the increased discount and we found that voucher codes did nothing for us in terms of bringing in new business (our sales went up when we stopped issuing them).

If you have an affiliate program and want to issue voucher codes then i would recommend stating in your program that voucher code sites get a lower comission.

Because they weren't getting comissions (this was when they used to cookie drop)

Many small retailers allow Myvouchercodes do what they like as they are the biggest vochercode site in th UK. Big players like SKY etc dont like this practise and will not work with people involved.

These cookie dropping sites have a negitive effect on voucher codes and are slowley being wipped out

Voucher code sites depend on affiliate commissions.

The reason they are not popular with other affiliates is the 'last cookie gets the sale' rule which means if a customer goes through lots of affiliate sites before purchase the last cookie set gets the commission.

When a customer finds your site via affilaite A and decides to purchase he or she may see the voucher box in your checkout and think, "I'll hunt down a voucher," (this is actually quite effective and you will often find discount codes doing this - a good tip).

The customer will pass through the voucher code site and even if you do not have a current voucher code current a cookie will be set, overriding the original affiliate A who worked hard to get you the sale. The voucher code site will get the commission, at the very last moment, after the sale is already in the bag.

It is alledged they cynically create pages for websites knowing voucher codes are not available and force visitors to click to reveal a code which doesn't even exist, thus setting the cookie.

We also discovered our 'best performing' affiliates were voucher code sites and researching deeper revealed the commissions were being awarded after the sale was in the bag and so we now do not work with voucher code sites. We did not loose business as a result.

We do offer voucher codes from time to time but only direct to customers. They can get listed on places like money saving expert, but that is fine as long as you aren't paying out twice, one discount and one commission.

We found this out by tracking customers through check out. The cookie for the voucher code was sent after they had started to checkout not before they arrived on the site.

myvouchercodes have been doing a bit of a hard sell lately on the mail shots they do. You pay for the ad and then pay for the discount you offer. I'm not saying it won't work but the sales guy reminded me of the mob from it's cold outside. Not a place I want to go again.

I wouldn't bother. Not worth it at all. Made two sales possibly and one of those asked for extra freebies.
