Zip help needed, please

Hi all

We have a course that will be sent out to clients via email and the files are quite big, so we were thinking of zipping them. I need to know the ins-and-outs of this. If the person receiving the file has Windows Vista, would they be able to unzip the file without downloading a zip programme? What about 98 and XP? What about Mac? And Windows 7?

Help would be appreciated!

If they are using Windows XP, or Vista or Windows 7 then the operating system has built-in support for Zip files.

If they're using Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT or Windows 2000 then they will need to install a program such as WinZip or 7 zip , both are free

As for Mac's the latest operating systems will have support , i am not sure about about older ones,
