I'm looking for low cost individual SMS's (not for marketing - to alert customers).

Where can I look for good rates and reliable service ?

Hello,

Feel free to use our service at Txtlocal.com - PM me and I will add 100 credits to your account for testing, and also flat rate your account to 4.9p for all future purchases (up to 10,000 messages).

We offer everything you could possibly need for SMS text messaging - an award winning, simple and very powerful online interface (import, mailmerge, schedule, full delivery reports), email to SMS, RSS and twitter integration and a programmer interface.

Let me know if you have any questions at all :)

Cheers,

Al.

Can people recommend £490 for 10,000 SMS's as a good price ?

One further question, what privacy conditions should I look for from my SMS supplier to ensure that SMS's I send are not read by any other party (including the SMS supplier, except for checking for abuse) and remain confidential ?

;-)

Any amount UP TO 10,000 is 4.9p... 10,000 is 4.5p...

We send over 10 million SMS per month, I assure you we don't read your messages. It is all DIY self service, secure and encrypted with direct connections to the mobile operators.

Please see our testimonials and case studies - they speak for themselves. Also, view the video tour of the control panel (it's only 3 mins) to get an idea of some of the features of our service and why we ar ethe PC Pro "SMS Service of Choice" (August 2009).

There are a great many things to consider when choosing your SMS provider, unfortunately it is not as simple as the cheaper the better.

As you want to be communicating with customers, I'm assuming reliability is a must.

DevelopersHome.com outline 13 questions you should ask when choosing a provider.

take a look here: fastsms.co.uk/downloads/fs-sms-buyers-guide.pdf

Hope this helps,

Ollie

Hi,

We can do both of those and much more at pureTXT

With a free account on our service you can also use our email 2 SMS, Mobile SMS, standalone desktop application and even our very simple HTTP API products.

Try us out with a free account, you'll get 20 free messages which are more than enough to get your head around the system (designed with simplicity in mind!). You can also setup any number of free sender IDs, and even have a free inbound keyword with which you can collect customer/ staff numbers automatically.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions!

Kind regards,

Nav
