Looks good but you've used full size images where resized ones are required which make them look not quite right and of course longer to load.
Cheers

Your site breaks the 2 cardinal rules of e-commerce IMHO.
1) It doesn't tell me if the item is actually in stock or not. Now, I know I'm being cynical, but I know alot of companies have products on their Web sites that they don't actually have in stock. A simple tick box that says "In Stock" will surfice, an actual stock count is even better.
2) I can't seem to find any information about delivery costs. I've even added an item to my basket and clicked Checkout, but I'm prompted to log-in, which, let's be honest, I'm not going to do just to see the delivery cost!
Just my 2p worth!

We will change this as soon as the Christmas rush is over - apologies ;)
As for "longer to load" - our target customer will have broadband - wait for the videos next year ;)

If it's not in stock - we remove it from the store - company policy.
I can't seem to find any information about delivery costs
It was on the homepage - but I have added the following to all product detail pages: Price includes free delivery & taxes (where applicable)
Thank you both for your comments.

i like your site, it has everything an e-commerce site needs to. but i have to say i wouldnt buy from it. i can see there has gone a lot of effort in that and i do like it, but for me to buy from a site i like to see everything srystal clear, and its a bit up and down hard to explaine,i proberly think like this because i like sites how mine is, but most companioes follow the same trend, Dixons, eBay, MINE, Office World they all look the same in a way easy to navigate. Good Luck anyway i cant see why others wont buy!

But why not have:
"In Stock"
and
"Free Delivery"
on every product page - just to hammer it home to dullards like me?

Sometimes its good to be different. With the store you are 1 click away from seeing a product - easy category structure.
I see you are using OSCom - we are not.
just to hammer it home to dullards like me?
The type of customer we are aiming at, don't care too much about free delivery and we don't want to make them feel cheap.

Flipping eck! I worked for a major UK retailer on their Web site, who incidently sold ALOT of hampers/posh flowers etc round this time of year. The cost of delivery DOES matter, I can assure you.

"Sometimes its good to be different"
but Nielsons Law of the web is that most people spend more time on other people's websites than yours.
This applies to all websites.
So why should they have to keep relearning how to navigate? What makes you think your site is so special in their lives that you can force them to relearn how to navigate just for you.
Why not give them something they are familiar with? Then they will immediately feel right at home and be able to shop without having to worry about how they are shopping, buy without having to think about any other goal.

That's wonderful to hear - shipping is free on our website too ;) - the price you see is what you pay - no hidden extras. But this is not our USP - its about the product we sell and the quality of the content of the hampers.
That said - we can use your expertise and experience - so please PM me any more suggestions you may have. Thanks.

Is the site that difficult to navigate?
We are not asking customers to learn anything new. Its simple - Click on a category - get product listing. No sub categories to worry about and navigation is always in the same place.
I sent my "what is the internet?" mum to buy something on the website and she did it in less then 5mins - i don't call that learning something new - i call that progress ;)

Hard feelings? not at all - I learn a lot from listening to people's options - hence the post - keep the comments coming please.
