It's basically a programmer who should be doing something better as they're more skilled than the work they're doing. It can also mean a programmer without a clue of what they're doing (hence a monkey) who puts together snippets of code they've found. Luckily, that isn't me.

The term my friend and I use it in is someone who just sits in front of a computer all day, night and every second of existence programming and lives purely for that. So you're just coding all the time.

As it's a company name, change that into Coding Monkeys and bingo. Everyone remembers it and it's still quite true.

How the heck could a guy survive when his wife's spending countless hours on a computer, when she should be cooking meals and sundry other household duties. Jayne and I would NEVER get on - she's be in tears half the day from being upset 'cause of not understanding me, and she'd be in bed the other half trying to recover from 'matrimonial chores.' I'm also sure, from Jayne's point, that the feeling's mutual. I know that she thinks I'm a real hunk, but she also know she'd be belting me with the rolling pin every cuppla hours.

So, Nic, if you have any other 'matchmaking' ideas, please don't include me within them, thank you very much :wink: :wink:

And how could you possibly iron pyjamas, mow the lawns, clean the car, set the TV on the right channel, make coffees AND hold down a full-time job. Something has to give - somewhere. Usually it is at the expense of the 'poor, neglected' husband. We thrive on lurve!
