I am about to sit down and watch the excellent Dragons Den. Are there any other programmes anyone can recommend? I mean business wise and Ian's running of the chip shop in Eastenders doesn’t count)
I though the Apprentice was fab, both the British and the American version (saying that though the American final was well over the top)
Cheers

What is the Dragons Den.
Okay, I watched a program, I can't remember what channel it was on - channel 4 I think. It was about a group of people who had to set up a business and make a million in 12 months!
Sorry, I can't remember the name of the programme neither

I think the one your thinking of was called "Make Me A Millionaire"
In Dragons Den existing or start up businesses get to pitch their ideas to 5 of Britains "leading" entrepreneurs with the aim of getting cash from them for a share in their company.
9 times out of 10 they get turned down or basically just shot down in flames.
Its good because you get to see other peoples mistakes. Check this out http://www.bbc.co.uk/dragonsden/. Well worth a watch

try "homes under the hammer"- it is on in the mornings so you will have to record it!
it is all about would be property developers. i am not into makeover shows at all but this one shows people buying delapidated homes at auctions and then visits them 3 months later to see if they have turned a profit
when you see novices making up to £100,000 profit with little or no experience makes you wonder why more of us are not in the property game!!
saw one recently where a run down property sold for £9,000. completed it sold for £40,000 - not bad for a first project
