My wife has lost her password for her ntl hosted email account - she rarely uses it - just for speaking to family and friends abroad and out of town.
She has tried ringing ntl - but after 20 mins on 3 occasions put the phone down.
I e-mailed them explaining the situation. Their reply was they were sending the password to..... my wife's e-mail address.
Would I be able to set up another account with my wife's e-mail address but using a different password?
Or is there something else I can do
Cheers

Does she dialup to the same account by anychance? if so its probably retrievable. You wont be able to setup a new account with the same email address as thats in use. I'd try NTL again, ask to speak to a supervisor - u'll get there eventually and of course ask for the password over the phone (they will ask to speak to your wife at this stage and ask dum questions such as your address to confirm her identity)
you should get it back off them though, just keep at it they are muppets, just like this:tech support (http://www.scarysquirrel.org/special/movies/foamy/tech2.html)

It might be the same password as her dialup - have you tried it?

yep - there are some scripts that will reveal this but they're usually around $25 - and *may* work - but I'd try ntl again as why should you pay?

I see your point about paying, I certainly wouldnt want to pay.
I have free ones that I use regularly to get dialup details, email passwords from outlook etc, web pages, msn etc (for use with customers that have forgotton passwords or prior to a reinstall - with customers permission of course) I was going to offer to send one of these should the password have been stored.
