i can understand the pruning of the thread, but not locking it.

Accusations were made publicly, as in "taken advantage of" and should be allowed to be challenged / backed up publicly as well.

It was a bit disconcerting how people started speculating so fast without nic replying. So maybe thats why......

Heh, poor admins. That get's locked so it all carries on here.

I guess there was no sign of any closure on that thread. Everyone involved had an opportunity to say their piece and it's now just counter-productive with people like me posting their thoughts and speculation on what's happened. It wasn't going to go anywhere useful - so I do see the reasoning behind locking it.

I suppose we should all just make of it what we will and move on.

Speculation happens when theres nothing coming out of the horses mouth?

I think the thread should run its course naturally. Other forum members are obviously keen to know of what has happened and there maybe be some lessons we could all learn.

Posting on forums and getting to know people is when we open up and become less cautious about what we say.

I guess this issue will end when people lose interest? I have! :D

I think it's a shame this thread has been locked, some may accuse us of being nosey, but there could well be lessons to learn from whats happened.

I hope Nic will pop on and update us as to exactly what happened at some point

I have to protest against the big brother attitude of the admin on this one.

It's no different to russian news blackouts.

Although Mac made my day on monday!

Sorry but the thread got locked because it was basically serving no further business purpose.

An accusation had been made against another business, a second forum member had been implicated and the third party had posted to challenge what he had been told.

No one has actually been forward to state the facts of the case and the third party has removed his challenge so all in all there is no point.

As moderators of these forums we feel that it should be made clear that the forums are for exchanging information on business issues and that airing dirty washing in public without justification does not come within the ethos of the forums.

This does not mean that when someone has had justifiable bad service or problems that suppliers refuse to resolve, that it cannot be brought to the attention of the other forum members

We would ask all members to try to adhere to this ethos in future.

ps I have simple cleared up the previous thread removing msot of the non relevant posts such as spread betting before locking just to keep it readable. Posts by Klout were not removed by admin.
