Just came across this

http://thedextrousweb.com/2009/10/the-wraps-come-off-data-gov-uk/

via this

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8366190.stm

cool eh?

Anyone know more about this or how us developers can find our way into the inner circle and actually get access to all this govt data?

Theres lots of new concepts here such as

http://www.talis.com/index.shtml

and

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resource_Description_Framework

What do you lot think about this?

Surely there are a whole load of new business opportunities here?

I have has access to this but haven't had chance to do anything with it myself yet.

It was opened up for beta developers a few weeks ago.

I was also lucky enough to meet [at a conference] and briefly discuss this project with @DirDigEng (http://twitter.com/DirDigEng) who I would suggest you follow to stay up to date with this.

Regards

Dotty
