Hi

My names Iain and I have worked in wed design and application development for about 6 years now.

I currently work for a large insurance company but am mainly here to pick up tips, advice and any good ideas around promoting a new business of mine and my colleagues. The site is http://www.webit.net if any of you want to check it out and tell me what you think that would be great.

Its a B2B marketplace that is free for members to post their company details and product/service details. Its main purpose is that of a promotional tool and we do get spidered by the major search engines.

Anyway i hope to play an active role in these forums, pass on some of what i've learn't, do a bit of networking and pick up some good marketing advice.

I have also registered.

Bit of coincidence but I also work for a large insurance company by day whilst trying to make it big on the web.

Nice site with one snag. When trying to select my region when registering some regions are missing and they are also not in any sort of order. I would have liked to put down that I am in Cardiff or Cardiff County but these options weren’t there, so I am now under the more general heading of Wales.

I have just gathered a full list of the counties in the UK and Eire, let me know if you want a copy and I will send it across.
