I'm self employed, sole trader, running a travel business. People ask me all the time what my job title is, but what is it? I run the business, marketing, IT, accounts, customer support, etc etc.
So what should I call myself? --- polite answers please :D

Just say you own your own business, then they ask what it is, then you tell them.

Has to be Travel Executive.
I am CEO of the Group but the bulk of my work is legal work so I call myself Legal Director, sometimes beside CEO.

Ok thanks folks - some good suggestions and some ummm interesting suggestions (I laughed @ god )
Something else to add - the business is not limited, so can words like 'Executive' and 'Director' be used?

Don't tell them a job title, it's a waste of an opportunity.
Tell them what you do for your clients.
For example, when people ask me what I do, I could tell them "I'm a marketing constultant" or I could say "I help businesess get more clients and make more money".
If the person happens to be a business owner (or know one), then they usually want to know more. If they're just asking, they won't.

Good point Steve!
I do usually give them the 'low-down' on the business when people ask me that question, but what about on forms, letters to clients, business cards etc.
That's where I come unstuck.
