I am just carrying out a bit of research about which entrepreneurs are most respected and who you would most like to talk to. So out of the options if you get hold of their business card that would you call for advice?
Thanks
Matt

I think you might mean Jacqueline Gold, Jayne.
I'd say Alan Sugar, but having spoken to him already I think you'd have a better chance of a constructive conversation with Richard Branson!
In terms of most respected though I'd still say Sugar.

Branson seems the most approachable, I'd have his.

She may be solar powered, though I think her products might not quite sell as well if they could only be used in bright sunshine

I think you might mean Jacqueline Gold.
She used to be not a very pleasant woman, I wonder if she has changed.

I have had the honour of meeting Jaqueline at an AS convention. She is lovelyand has the greatest respect for each and every one of her party planners. After all they are the ones who make her the money.

I have had the honour of meeting Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and Margaret Beckett. They were all equally approachable and friendly.
I had an originally signed photo of Richard Branson for my 25th birthday - was a very nice surprise indeed. Now I want to meet the man in person! A good icon for those with disabilities.

Definitely Richard Branson. I've admired him for as long as I can remember.

Hi all
Duane, Was Alan Sugar hard work to talk to?
Definitely I would take Richard Branson's. His autobiography is cool, you should all try and read it sometime!

Both Richard Branson and Alan Sugar have both been very quick to help in my charity fund raising projects.
Both have sent autographs, books, products etc with a letters personally signed by them rather than just their PA's.
But if I had to pick it would have to be Alan Sugar because I am huge fan of the Apprentice and as a kid a grew up playing on Amstrad computers.

Hi Welsh
Which charities do you support?

I used to do a lot of work for a charity called Hope and Aid Direct (http://www.hopeandaiddirect.org.uk).
Twice a year we would raise about £5,000, rent a lorry, fill it with aid and drive it to the Eastern Europe region (Kosovo, Belarus, Chernobyl etc). We had a very understanding truck rental company.
Once there we would distribute the aid and help with local projects like rebuilding schools and hospitals.
We did loads of fund raising things like auctions, fashion shows, ladies nights, special film screenings (mainly the Rocky Horror Picture Show).
I haven’t done it for about three years because I have a screwed up shoulder and my co-driver has moved abroad. However I am looking to get back into soon.
I also do a bit of work with my local cinema to get the children (and their families) from the local children’s hospice into the cinema to see films like Narnia etc.

OMG, talk to Agri-Hire you need a tractor!

No offence meant Agri-Hire, but not likely.
Strangely enough it was a run away Ferguson tractor on a remote farm in Kosovo that did my shoulder in.
Handy tip, dont try and stop a run away tractor with just your body weight no matter how many people are helping you. It will stop its self when it hits something hard enough.

Looks like Ricky B has it then. I would choose him myself too.

Most top managers don't blow their own trumpets. While the three people listed may be successful and well-known, I would prefer to receive business cards from other people.
In fact, I would like to have signed business cards from members of this forum. Small business owners have a far bigger impact on the economy than large companies. In five years' time, I shall probably find that I have cards associated with some of Britain's top performers!
