I run a small business with my sister selling handmade jewellery (it is all made by us).

We only launched three weeks and hope you can get some good advice from everyone.

Hi Steve,

It's all handmade jewellery and we use a variety of materials including Swarovski crytals, glass beads, semi-precious gemstones and sterling silver. All great Christmas presents

We have also starting to offer a design service which has had some interest.

Thanks for your interest!

Hiya,

I only joined the website yesterday and i'm already addicted, there's alot of helpful people here! I like the name by the way..raspberry bloom.

I opened a childrens clothes shop in sheffield 6 months ago and launch my website in Jan (www.bambookidz.co.uk) there's nothing quite like working for yourself is there?

You may have already done this, but i've just finished entering all my details in to free business listings etc..just did a google search and took it from there. Helps to get your name out there abit.

Nice products by the way. how lond does it take you on average? have you got a big team working with you? i don't..it's just little old me!

Do you do/or have you thought about Christening charm bracelets? making your own unique ones and perhaps approaching other companies aswell with a batch to raise awareness of your products? maybe on a sale or return basis if people are unwilling at first (thats what i do with people that approach me)..?

Have a good day!

Sonia.

I wish I had a big team it is only me and my younger sister. Unfortunately we also have to work full time so it is a little tiring at the moment.
Each piece takes a different amount of time to make. The crystal clusters take around an hour and a simple pair of earing about 15 minutes. It really good fun and quite therapuetic!

I will try and approach a few shops because this would be a great way of getting our name out there, although I have to say I am a little scared a rejection! But I guess our jewellery isn't for everyone.

Christening bracelets are a great idea. I may look into making a few and see how they go.

Have a good day

Hi Louise

Welcome to the forums.

Good luck with your new venture. Liked your web site. Items seem reasonably priced especially compared with what I've just spent on xmas prezzies.

Hello to you both, and welcome!

And just what is a 'semi-precious gemstone?' A rock?
