as a host you should know how to setup your nameservers....

The music is really annoying, it doesn't quite go with the pink flöoyd I was playing on my PC at the time. I would rather choose the music I listen to.....

As for pricing and products, that depends on your target audience.

You don't say if you have your own dedicated servers, or if you are reselling space with another host and if so who that host is.

That's the first thing I'd ask of any hosting company before I even look at their products/prices.

In my experience most end users don't know that reselling exists in hosting, and therefore don't ask. One of the reasons that resellers do so well.

When I started out as a reseller (I now have my own company selling reseller accounts as well :D ) I never advertised the fact that I was a reseller, but would tell the client if asked.

I guess you're right, it depends who your target market are. Surely noobs will get their hosting through 1&1, becuase they advertise in the back of PC mags etc, Web developers will have a reseller account somewhere, so that leaves people who run their own sites as the people who will shop around for hosting?

I managed to convince alot of hosting clients to transfer from their previous host simply by knocking on their door. Meeting with potential clients to discuss what is otherwise a very anonymous service (how many people have actually met a representative of their hosting company ?) can prove to be a very good selling tool.
