Hello there - I run a website - for nothing at the moment (start up costs whilst I get myself established).

The idea with the site is for users to post up their adverts for property for sale, to let or available flatshares.

The main difference is there are no estate agents involved. The idea is not unique but there is still no one site well known associated with this so the race is on.

For each property advertised I in turn advertise that on the 'big shots' i.e. propertyfinder.com, upmystreet.com, channel4.com and lots more.

I will start charging for adverts in a couple of months so if you or anyone you know is selling or letting a property in London or Greater London then point them in the direction of www.mydesres.com and they'll truly get something for NOTHING!

First of all.. good luck in your new venture..

I'm a firm believer in people selling their own homes if they have the mentality to do it although I also believe estate agents offer a useful service for those who simply don't want all the hassle.

I sold my last house privately at a sales cost of £85, received 18 enquiries and took 10 viewings. The estate agents initially quoted a commission that would have cost me in the region of £4500.


What you might be more interested in however, is that principally our company is a software company and we have have a piece of kit called E-State Manager which you might be interested in.


It's a tool that gives a complete back office solution to anyone operating an estate / lettings agency and our clients can rent monthly just whatever part is of use to them.
For example, as a new business your outgoings probably need to be minimal but you need certain functionality to manage what's going on.

I'm not suggesting your own website doesn't already do this but it may interest you to know that the monthly rental element to perform client and property searches as well as "adding a new property or client" is about £60.
I'm saying "about" because this is a new product that someone else is promoting on our behalf and we haven't handled any direct sales ourselves here yet.

The entire toolkit which includes the searches and add clients / properpties facility, along with an appointments manager, day book, media generator ,sales and lettings reports and more, is in the region of £250 per month. It's a very sophisticated piece of kit. PM me if you want to know anything more about it.

It's not available online for viewing yet but i think i could arrange a demonstration if you are interested.
