I have a long winded co.uk domain and as apart of making my business sleeker my new business will be a shorterned version of my existing name ending in .net. Rather than forwarding this to my existing co.uk is there any way to have it the same site as my co.uk so e.g myname.net/index.php is hosted on the same shared hosting folder as my myname.co.uk site?
I am guessing this process is quite expensive?
in other words
www.myname.co.uk/index.php
www.myname.net/index.php
are exactly the same.

What you are asking for is normally called a domain alias and can typically be set up in your hosting package.
Your sites however will be penalised by search engines because the two sites will have duplicate content. It would be better to forward one to the other, if you intend to use the new name going forward it would be best to 301 redirect the old domain to the new one thus making sure you dont lose rankings but also getting the new domain name "out there"

The two names are very similar so for simplicity this year I will just foward to my co.uk then when my hosting expires in Jan I will just make set the hosting up on the .net site and forward the .co.uk to the .net.
Thanks for your help :)
