Just got myself one of these after getting painful right hand wrist

So far so excellent - already been using an ergo keyboard for years, but this really makes a difference - highly recommended if you are a heavy PC user or suffer with bad wrists
works fine on linux as well :)

I dont so much have RSI from using a mouse but I have developed or should I say evolved a bony growth on my wrist where it's in constant contact with the desk whilst I move the mouse.
Kind of my own built in wrist rest :D

I have bad RSI that affects both of my arms. Tried the evoluent mouse, and they are very good. However, I started resting in the evenings and at weekends (from the PC), as well as reducing my PC usage generally, and the pain is under control.

Nice share. I might give this a try, this will surely be a great help. My pc usage is kind of high.

I have just bought one of the Microsoft Natural mouses, which is close to the vertical one above - and it feels so much more comfortable. Even after using it for one day, going back to an old mouse made me realise how much I used to have to twist my arm.
If you use a mouse every day, it's worth investing some money in a good mouse.

I wonder if this would be any good for me ... I have been told not to use my right arm for some weeks, and although can use both hands for writing, try using your left for a mouse when you aint ever done so ... it takes forever!

i'm loving it still, and going back to a standard mouse using my laptop highlights how uncomfortable it is

We sell office supplies and i have been asked a couple of times over the years for these mice - we can't get them ourselves but from the customers who i know have swapped to them they have reported 100%% improvement in the RSI problems they were having with normal office mice.
For reference you can also get an RSI keyboard.

I find the trick with input devices is to keep changing them, and not skimp on the mouse too much.
PowerBalls are quite good to prevent RSI as well, the portable gym you can put in your pocket.
Touch typing is also probably best not learnt, instead try to develop an erratic style of two hand typing.

And?? :p
I have ordered one of those mice, mouse things, to see if I can still use it with my right arm without actually moving the arm ...

a bit unrelated to the mice .. but I used to suffer with RSI quite badly.
I couldn't find a mouse, or track ball to shake it off.
In the end I bought a Mac Book Pro. The new trackpad means I can work the machine with either hand interchangeably at any time and the big pad means my fingers are not bunched up and in the same position. It's helped a lot. I think having both hands working the machine is easily the biggest benefit to keep RSI at bay, at least for me.

Anyone know if there's a left-handed version?
I have an old injury which meant plates in my arm and radial nerve damage.. I had a episode of RSI a few weeks back, mainly down to the keyboardI was using it has to be said. But it irritated the old injury site and was AGONY! Anything to avoid that again :(

I've been meaning to buy one of these (http://www.pukme.com/product.php) after I saw them on Dragons' Den I think. I'm not too sure if I'd get along with one of those mouses!
