We have used google checkout and paypal online for a while now. However it is now time to start looking at a physical face to face solution for our shop.

Please has anyone done any comparisons and is there any service out there that offer an all in one service, ie chip and pin machine aswell as processing. I know we will need a merchant number or such from our bank.
We really need to keep the costs down and will probably have to charge the customer to use their card.

Which ever i choose will have to work with barclays merchant

Thanks

If you are a member of the FSB you can get quite a good disscount for Streamline.

Streamline indeed. I have a merchant account with Streamline and rent a chip and pin mobile terminal with 123send. Mine uses a Vodafone sim card. The fees are much less than what I pay for my Paypal transactions.

I am a member of FSB but HSBC were able to offer me a better deal than Streamline, even with the FSB discounts.

I have been on the phone to streamline. There are massive savings to be had especially for small businesses! I am sure that we will be registered and using both very soon.

Have a look at electronic (hyphen) payments (dot) co (dot) uk There is a lot of advice and price comparison information there. You have to register, but its free.

Hi Rhyl Lightworks, would be interested to know what rates you get from HSBC.

Barclaycard Business offer an all-in-one solution - the terminal and payment processing :)
