Hi,
I want to know if a service exists where a company can sell advertising space for my new magazine on behalf of my company.
Is so, what is this service called and do you recommend any good companies?
I live in Spain and I am trying to find one based in Spain, or a global company.
Thanks for your help.

You could try outsourcing it to a telemarketing agency.
You'll either pay by the hour or on the business that they generate.
A quick search in google for "outsource telemarketing company" should get you close!
Good luck with your venture

I think someone asked a very similar question a few months ago, wanting people to sell advertising space in a magazine in Spain.
The responses in the thread gave some useful ideas on options to try out in Spain and UK based telesales companies.
You might want to do a search and try and track down the thread.

If you want to sell advertising space on your website you need to have enough traffic to make it attractive enough to sell.
Banner advertising is usually sold and bought on a CPM basis. This stands for cost per mille which means that everytime the ad is shown one thousand times you pay.
If your website is niche then you can charge higher rates or if for example you have registration data you can let advertisers know what the demographic of your site is.
In order to sell banners on your site you need what we advertising agencies call an advertising network. There are plenty in the UK and they handle the sales of all your ad space.
If you are a new site though you may not find it feasible to work with a company like this. Have you thought about putting up Google Adsense it is a good way to earn incremental advertising revenue.

Hi, I used to live in France and sell space in a British printed magazine. Had some very good phone deals, so calls were included.
You could try some of the expat forums, but to be honest getting the right person, dosent really matter where they are based? Are you looking for Spanish speaking, or is it a publication aimed at expats, or something completely different?

Selling of adspace on a website is damn tricky, bcos as someone said
you need to have enough traffic to make it attractive enough to sell.
even if you can get the many thousands of visitors each year, you still need to get the word out about the site - so how to sell/market this, is a good start.
Traditional Ad Agencies aren't the way to go, they will want £20k and chances are will engage in the dreaded 'Brand Ad Campaigns' which is just the wrong thing really. Too expensive an option and you can't compete with companies spending £100k per campaign etc.
PR (Public Relations) is cheaper, but will still cost £3k to £7k per campaign, for a start-up business at least....... more for continued press exposure (which you'll need). You could do it yourself, but do you know what your doing, is the question. Or the time involved to do this properly...
Free is just about available eg: Free ads/links on websites, but again time to hunt down these websites......
Link exchange is doable, again time......
There are banner exchanges, but people just use them to upload their banners, and rarely stick about to view yours/others. So what everyone needs is low-cost advertising options, preferably targeted eg: £10, £20, £50 ad slots - that kind of thing.
Try:
Reasonable cost links, targeted to the right audience.
