Hi,
I think i understand the principle behind facebook connect there are just some things im struggling to get my head arround.
Im thinking, fb connect allows people to buy off your website without having to actually register seperately on your site - is this correct?
If so, once the person has connected their profile, would my site save their details (and if so what details would it save) onto my database. so it shows i have another registration?
Im also presuming that once they have bought an item, in theory it allows them to post this on their profile - look what ive just bought from www.mysite.com?
If this is all correct then its looking like a handy little tool otherwise if not and i have failed to get my head around it could someone try to put it in simple terms? I have read various sites (including the fb developer site) but its just one of those things i think i may be struggling to understand.
Cheers
Tony

Not heard of Facebook Connect myself so thanks for bringing it to my attention. I will check it out and have a look myself.
So on FB you can buy something without registering through my site?! Is this possible, it sounds like there would be security issues with this.
I'm defo gonna get on this and check it out and see what i can make of it myself. It's definitely a new thing so i would hold fire as quite often these new programs and site add ons have lots of bugs in the beginning. I found Google Checkout was a fraud nightmare waiting to happen in the beginning.
Let me know if you find anything else on this as I would be interested in finding out more.

:D Ahhh i see! Didn't realise how much some of the game machines were though, the 2 player out run 2 game is a lot more than expected!
The only criticism i have is that the right click is disabled, any reason? Users can still copy and paste text (Ctrl C and V still works) and saving pictures can still be done via print screening the page. The reason i say this is because for example at Christmans children may want to copy text or pictures to "put on christmas lists" or to show parents etc? Just a comment, i am sure i am wrong though!

There are a couple of things that still need fixing. We are going to create print friendly pages. There is still a lot of work being done on it this is just the bare bones at the moment as we needed to get it live for the Christmas rush.
Will check the right click! Thanks for pointing that out. :D

I'm not 100% sure how it works as I've not personally used it but Magneto has an add-on which allows you to do this. (http://www.magentocommerce.com/extension/1733/facebook-connect-magento-module)
