Hello there

I'd like to introduce myself, having been fortunate to have found this forum :D
I'm Caroline, 35, Irish and living in Essex. Married with four children (the youngest being six weeks old). We have a retail shop and website www.thegiftboutique.co.uk that sells collectables and gifts. We are also in the process of setting up a new business, and have been granted the licence to sell & distribute a new product in the U.K. exclusively for an American company. I can't yet say what the product is as the patent for Europe hasn't been lodged yet.
Anyway looking forward to getting to know you all!
:D

Hi Caroline ':D'

Welcome to the forum and all the best with your business and the new alliance that it will be starting.

Funnily enough, I have recently inherited some collectable dolls and have no idea what to do with them !! I would like to sell them someway but ebay doesnt seem to generate much interest. Even though they are in good condition and were bought for a couple of hundred each at the time.

Maybe you can point me in the right direction !!

In anycase, best of luck again

Jacqueline

Thanks for the welcome everyone  Looking forward to getting to know you all!
My kids are 12 and 10 from my first marriage and 4 and 6 weeks from this one, so its not too bad as the older three are in school and I will have some ready made baby sitters in a couple of years!
I have recently inherited some collectable dolls and have no idea what to do with them !! I would like to sell them someway but ebay doesnt seem to generate much interest
Jacqueline I'm afraid the only place I know of that you could sell your dolls is ebay. Have you tried the category "Artists dolls?" have a look at it, all the collectables are listed there.

Hopefully I will be able to tell you all about the product in a couple of weeks. Oh and Liam, fair play to you. If you are interested in business already you are bound to go far. I keep trying to involve my 12 year old son but he is more interested in his playstation
I'm from Frinton on Sea for the member that asked.

Caroline, The Toddler Doll is amazing, You really would have to look twice they are so life like, my daughter would love it!

Do you have a lot yourself or do you only sell them?

I used to collect them but now there are way to many to start bringing home and my daughters always take them over anyway (besides I have the real thing now!)
They do feel very real though, probably too good to give to small children as most collectors are adults. Doing well this time of year as you can imagine but after Xmas its very quiet. I'm looking forward to selling my new product which will pretty much sell all year around.

Hi Caroline,

Welcome to the forums, I'm afraid dolls aren't my thing, infact when I was small if people bought them for me I would undress them and pull off all their arms and legs and bury them in the garden!!

I'm a teddy bear girl, also from sunny Essex by the way.

Frinton is lovely, I enjoy a 99 and a bag of chips most summers.

Welcome

Claire

Thanks Claire. To be honest the dolls are a sideline. I'm really excited about my new business which will hopefully be ready to take off as soon as the contracts are signed. I will keep the doll website, but mainly my time will be with my new business. Can't wait to tell you all about it!

Hi Caroline, from another Caroline.

I am thrilled to see your Elvis stuff (Mark Pearson won't do me any Elvis Personalised Roses and I hate him for it) ;)

I just can't decide which thing to get - how long would it take to get the musical box?
