MS Excel question

HI

In the older version of excel, under the tab options there was the option to autosave, whereby you could set a workbook to autosave every so-many minutes.

I can't find this in the Office2007 version of excel. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi,

You need to click the icon (top left), and at the bottom, by "Exit Excel" is a button called "Excel Options", click that and under Save you'll find the autosave settings.

How do I auto recover the file - it's an xar file?

It maybe possible to just change the file extension, and to open the file. I would make a copy and give it a go, but a problem may arise if you're now using a different version of Office.
