Hi There,
After revamping the main website i think its time to do the same to the shop.

I would like your opnion on what is good about the online shop as a potential customer and what you would like to see changed or improved.

You know what I'm going to say.

GET MORE COLOUR ON THERE!!!!!!!

Some colour has been creeping in thank god, cos yours was the greyest site ever before! I really like the home page esp the notepad spriral thingy.

Get some colour on there, and in each section I would put a good sized static image of a customers product in that category with maybe a small testimonial somewhere or even with the image.

Personally I don't like the many square / rectangles and the hard outline of them. You've got a great product and service and as you have told me many many statisfied customers (more than your portfolio shows) so show this!

Hi Callum

I agree with the above, the main thing as soon as you see the site is the lack of colour. It does make it look very washed out.

Apart from that I really like the products :) . Also, do you have any plans to do smaller bulk orders?

Thanks
Sarah

"Theirs not a better time to do it"

should read

"There's no better time"

This is the most glaring error because it's on the home page; however, there are many others. I counted several grammatical errors on that page. On the store page, there are many more ("Unlike other company's", for example.)

It wouldn't take long for someone to walk through and correct these problems, and it would improve the professional appearance of your site no end.

Grey writing on white background in small text which it is not possible to resize makes this site quite hard on the eye.

The images of your products never seem to show the entire product, only a sort of peep through the letterbox which again is a bit frustrating. It's Ok for a taster but at some point you are going to have to show the customer what they are getting.

at no point do you give a really good description of exactly what your products are like eg what the keyrings are like - inner and outer dimensions, materials, how they fit together, how much they weigh ( important for clients intending to send them out) If you answer people's questions they have less reason to shop elsewhere.

live support is offline even though it is the middle of the working day.

visited links do not colour

sometimes it seems like there is too much text.

some of the grey text is even on a dark grey background

too much of the first fold is taken up by your logo and strap line. I would have thought it might be better to have some them smaller and some super clear and attractive buttons saying, "start designing your keyrings here" or whatever your most popular product is.

It is a nicely focused site with a good propostition but the overall feeling as I leave it is of having been lost in a depressing grey fog. ;)

Hello Callum

Sorry for the delay in reply.

The question was a general one really and relates to all your products. We may be looking for something in the future but it would be closer to the 50 mark.

Good luck with the updates.

Thanks

I think the sites fab and easy to use. But would agree with the grey on white, too drab!

I love the home page though

Hi Calum,

I agree that there needs to be more colour - maybe make it a bit more fun.

Have a look at a store I have just done for a client -

Good luck with the store.

I really like what you have done with your sites - very professional - simple, yet functional. I can only find a couple of things that I can see in your shop that you might find beneficial to change:

1. Remove the query-string from your url's (Google hates them!)
2. Add more descriptive text to your products on the page that is visible immediately on clicking on the category link

Both of these steps may help your ranking in search engines, although they really are small points.
