Hi

We have just launched the Beta version of a free Twitter tool to automatically post your RSS feeds as Tweets on your Twitter account. You can also use it to autotweet news that your Twitter followers may be interested in using simple keywords. e.g. "Twitter Tools".

Please take a look at http://twittermyrss.com

All feedback appreciated.

Richard

You need to give people some examples of what you mean otherwise they just won't know what you are on about, the tech savvy will but not the general user.

Plus for those pushing out full feeds do they have a choice of what is pushed through your service.

Plus you have issues with www. and non www.
Are you going to open up an API so techs can look at other ways of integrating this?

I signed up and tested it but nobody told me there were ads to other companies displayed on my twitter so i quickly delted the account.
There is plenty of software that offers more features than you and dont have the adverts on and there are paid sites that also have no ads.
So sorry your product is quite poor as it does not display the catch with the 3rd party adverts so its not really FREE.

OUCH! Seriously Richard if you want this to be taken seriously then you need to be completely transparent otherwise you alienate potentially millions of people, you know how viral Twitter is so this is pretty bad form.

hi there
we have just started to look at twitter for our site but not done much

one question though, why would you need to autotweet? what is that and what's the advantage?
cheers

Hi Kev

Thanks for the feedback. The url examples is something that should have been included but got missed - thanks for the reminder :)

The feeds are checked hourly and only new items posted to Twitter. If a feed has more than one in an hour then the latest item is shown. There is no nice way of keeping it automated and allowing the user to choose what they feed through the service especiallu as we're trying to keep it very simple.

The API route isn't something we've considered really as we're not really aiming at developers. Food for thought though!

Thanks again for taking a look.

Richard

Hi

I'm not sure where the ads are coming from but they aren't from http://TwitterMyRSS.com - what ads are you seeing? It doesn't even advertise itself as the sender never mind including others. Could you send me any more information you have?

Thanks

Richard

Hi

The reason to use http://TwitterMyRSS.com and to autotweet is basically time saving. For example, if you run a blog or you already have an RSS feed (for news etc) on your website then this enables anything new posted to your blog/site to be automatically posted to Twitter.

http://TwitterMyRSS.com (http://twittermyrss.com/) also allows you to add a specific keyword or phrase (the more specific the better) so that any new news found by Google will be automatically Tweeted to your account. For example if you sell "widgets" then using this keyword would automatically tweet any news about widgets as they appear on Google. Really useful for you and your followers.

Thanks

Richard

Hi Kev

You have no doubt seen my response above that we defintely DON'T use it for posting adverts and the like on other peoples accounts! We've been using Twitter ourselves very successfully over the last year or so and having tried various tools know the kinds of things we hate and wouldn't inflict on anybody else :D

Cheers

I'm sorry but there defintely isn't any advertising driven from the site at all! All I can think is that the RSS feed or keyword you used was linked to an RSS feed that provided an advert.

Could you let me know what keyword/feed you used so we can get to the bottom of this?

Thanks

Richard

No problem and if you have any other questions just ask. It's free to use and always will be. We just have a "donate if you find this useful" button so people can can choose to pay whatever they want (or not at all!) if they find it useful.

Thanks

Richard
