File Sharing (I think)

Hi there

I know how to use a keyboard but that's about it!

Can somebody tell me the best way of sharing files with clients remotely? basically I'm producing documents for them, need their input and for them to make any necessary amendments. I then need to some how get access to the file that they have edited.

I don't want the hassle of emailing large file attachments back and forth. Not only that but I could find myself continually chasing clients up to email the document back. I want a system whereby if I 'log in' or whatever and the file hasn't been updated/amended then the work doesn't get done - tough on them. As and when the file is updated I get to work. So the sooner they do their bit, the sooner I do mine.

Is something like FTP worthing considering? Needs to be secure and available 24/7 by both parties. Could this be done via our website??

Whatever, it needs to be fairly simple as alot of my clients aren't technology minded and can handle logging into a PC but not much more than that!

[Gratis Guidance]

The absolute easiest way is to use Google Docs.

The system is free and there are a number of really big companies now signing over to using it internally instead of MS Office.

Fantastic!! Had a look at google docs and think I will go with that as everyone knows google and clients won't be too phased by it I hope!
