Hi Guys...

I'm new to this forum, so excuse my sense of lacking in 'BLOGGING'..

I have been working on a device which I designed, for about 2 years now.. I've been on numerous courses, completed different sessions learning all I can about self employment.. I am even currently studying AAT Accounts to help me once my business has got off the ground..

Basically, as I mentioned, for the past 2 years I have been working on and developing, what started off as a 'idea'. I have designed a security device which isn't just limited to vehicles but can be used for business' and homes too.. Early financial forecasts predict the company to be turning over almost £650,000 in its first year, with profits of around £300,000.. Of course this means nothing as the company has no record of sales, or even letters of intent etc.. But most people would like to know where I endevour to take the business.. If I successfully licence this product to the intended market, and capture just 0.4% of that, the company would turn over in excess of £500,000.

So.. I am currently seeking an investment of approx. £15,000 to help the business through its early stages.. However, to decrease the risk aimed at the investor, I am willing to accept a lesser amount, of around £3,000-5,000 until the patent on this concept has been approved, or until at least you, as an investor are happy to put the rest of the money in...

I am not listing an equity which I am willing to give away as I think it is wrong to value a business when it is still merely a 'concept'. However, I would like to generate some interest and see if anyone would be interested in becoming a shareholder in my company..

I am currently residing in the Newport area of South Wales, so a partner within this area would be ideal as i'm sure you would like to have some input within the business..

Thank you in advance ..

No offence, but so many times on dragons den you see this approach and none of them invest in pat applied for or pat pending. As you know much of the success of the ' device ' depends on this. When you get the patent you'll have all sorts of offers and grants available to you.

How far have you trialled the product, how unique is it?. I'm in the Fire & Integrated Systems market and get to see and get offered many types of device, related to your end of the market too. I spent some time with an inventor some few yrs ago and realise the struggle to get your products to market.

Good Luck with it, hope it takes off for you.

Fire & Security are my speciality. I gave it up to concentrate on a business venture her indoors was running which unfortunately closed last year leaving us both out of work. I am in the process of rebuilding the Fire etc, but that does not pay the bills whilst developing so therefore I cant sit on my butt waiting for the phone to ring I am trying to get work that will tide me over until. As of Friday just gone it was a very productive day in the Fire Business, 8 months of preparation finally paid off and the phone rang all day with enquiries, now just got to turn those around into jobs.

I'm touched that someone actually follows my goings on, thank you. Also I only have five digits on each hand and that limits the number of pies I can have for each digit.
