Hi there, I guess what your trying to say here is, that you think you have found a niche in the market?

Personally if people dont like paying on line then they are not going to whether they have a card and/or bank account or not.

There are hundreds of payment solutions out there, but security is always the issue.

If you want to develop a new product I'd look at security rather than yet another payment option.

My first reaction was that they'd pay by cheque. But, you mention also that they have no bank account.

Therefore, I can't imagine anyone in such a poition shopping online - that's if they even have a computer!!
Cheers, Nigel

There are services like western union, however they often tend to be expensive and offer less protection to the consumer than paying with a card or paypal.

"How would someone without a credit card / Bank Account pay for something over the net?" - In the UK... Postal Orders!

If you are thinking of developing a payment processor then you are about 5 / 10 years to late... People are FAR to paranoid about being ripped-off online to even consider a small processing outfit - You would need to partner with a major bank or financial institution to be taken seriously...
Then there is the obvious problem - If you are going to handle the payment processing for people without CC's and Bank Accounts... How are you going to get paid in the first place?????

The only way that instantly springs to mind is that you could create a bank account that a user could pay INTO - and then once they had provided proof that they had paid in - you could pay the merchant... But I think that the local authorities / Banks would block this due to money laundering worries :?:

If you follow simple rule and use your common sense I don't think online shopping is unsecured. I personally have two type of credit card, I use less credit limit card most of the time during online shopping, to take calculative risk.

Few company have their proprietary fraud scrubbing service using most advanceed fraud screening technology, I don't think you've to worry about this if you select a good processor who deals in most secured environment.
