Hi Guys,
I'm new to payment processors (Sage Pay, 3D Secure etc...).
In Sage Pay what rules do you advise I set up for 3D secure?
Also is it mandatory that Mastercard, Mastro and Solo have to go through the 3D Secure?
When I've done a few test transactions what is the '3rd man' in Sage and what info does it give you?
Thanks,
D

Re MasterCard, Maestro, Solo:
"From 1st July 2007 MasterCard are mandating SecureCode, preventing Merchants from accepting Maestro (formerly Switch) payments online legitimately after this time. Without 3-D Secure Merchants will be breaking card scheme rules, will be liable to pay heavy fines from Acquiring Banks and will be potentially blocking a source of online revenue."
- Only with Maestro 3D Secure is a mandatory requirement.

Hi Daz,
The 3rd Man is our fraud screening partner. When you process Live transactions we will pass the transaction detail to The 3rd Man who will run a series of checks against the transcation, taking a whole range of variables into consiederation. A result will then be returned to your 'My Sage Pay' area, which will be represented in a traffic light system.
This will give you the chance to reject certain payments if they are marked as high or medium risk, or you could then perform further checks.
If you have any other questions, please let me know.
Kind regards,
Joe
