I am now on to my 3rd prize draw http://www.thebookiesoffers.co.uk/newsletter. how do i get the word out about it though, each month im giving away free tickets for race meetings. Tried forums but it looks like spam (which it probably is) when i post so anymore free ideas on how to spread the word

You can post competitions on Loquax
not sure what the rules are though?

Hi,
Prize draws are ten a penny! A lot of the affiliate sites have these already in an attempt to get the customer to leave their details, or lure them to their site. ... what are you looking to do, build your own customer database, or simply follow the affiliate model?

A prize draw would not lure me to your site.

If there was an element of skill involved where a table was updated then maybe I would get involved, especially if it was free.

On channel 4 teletext they give entrants a mythical £1 to bet on an event per day for 7 days and the winner at the end goes through to the final. The overall winner receives a free bet worth £250 (sponsored by betfred I think)

This is more appealing as there is an element of skill and oneupmanship.

If I did get involved in this sort of comp, I would maybe share my success (?) with my own network of largely 25-40 year old sports orientated men which maybe your core target audience...

Apologies if you have tried or are doing something like this.

Sky also do it with their Super 6 score predictions on sky sports, teamed up with Sky Bet...

Good luck !

We give away tons of stuff from our sites... plasma TV's, holidays etc, current one is 'years free shopping at Tescos' and how difficult is it to get people to leave their details... extremely difficult.
Google 'prize draw' or 'competition' and there are loads of companies trying to entice you to leave your details..

Why aren't people as interested as you'd think they should be? Because they don't want to be spammed, don't believe the competition even exists, can't be bothered etc... age old problem.

I just googled 'sandown park tickets' and your site didn't make the first two pages... if it had done, then I might well have registered, as what you are offering is specifically what I was looking for... and there was only one sponsored link for 'tickets'. I am no expert in SEO or PPC, but maybe targeted activity based on the competition might be a way forward?
