As some of you may know I run a print company called MK Printing. We specialise in providing professional printing for sole traders and small businesses. Our website is being re-launched later today and we are adding more features such as design online and a professional designer on hand if you require him.
As we are aiming our business at people like yourselves we want to know what you are looking for in a printing company.
What we try to provide is;
Top quality products
Competitive prices
Fast turn around times
Excellent customer service
Very easy website to use and order from
The website is not currently up but please let us know what you are looking for including products. We are going to do product packages such as 1000 business cards and 1000 letterheads for £199, but what else do you want?
Thanks
Matt, MK Printing

Hi,
What about, no minimum order, sometimes very small businesses cannot aford most min' orders and just want to buy a few of somethings until they make more money :D
Look after the little ones now and when they grow, you get bigger orders.

We actaully have that already. If you just want some business cards then that is all you order. We have to do minimum runs i.e. business cards start at 100 and go upto 1000.
The website is back up now :) and yo can look about and see what you think www.mkprinting.co.uk

Hi Matt,
The witing in blue at the top is a little fuzzy. And I couldn't find the prices, I was afraid to click on the little dots in case I ordered something.
Other than that, very plain, easy to use site :D

Hi Matt,
I'm a large format digital printer who supplies banner and exhibition stands. I get quite a few enquiries for business cards, brochures etc as they know I do digital, but obviously I end up outsourcing them and passing the quotes on as part of my service. I also buy my own brochures, business cards, flyers etc..
What I really hate is asking for a quote and then a week later having to ring up and find out why I've not heard anything. Customer service is key - keep people informed. Even if you don't know anything, just so that they know you've not forgotten them
I find that a lot of people don't actually know what they want, so some photos on your website and sample packs would help a lot so people can see something similar to what they may like. Maybe an online brochure with images and prices?
Your prices are really good, make a song and dance about your service and no hidden costs etc. People like the easy route and are likely to use someone like "Printing...." until they are stung and the process becomes over-complicated. They will look elsewhere and want it to be simple, honest, cheap and quality.
We don't want much do we? :-)
Hope this helps a little
