Does anyone know where I can find a tool to find how many times a keyword is typed in a search engine?

www.wordtracker.com has a free trial (and is only a few pounds anyway) and http://www.miva.com/uk/content/advertiser/landing1.asp
You might also find some of the tools on http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/ useful (provides other information, not just frequency of keywords searched)

Wordtracker is good, but US centric. The free trail is useful and I have paid for wordtracker in the past - it's OK and makes you focus on getting the best out of it for a couple of days.

Another point about Word Tracker - only looks at the last 30 or 60 days, so if you want to look at seasonal searches like for instance Valentines now, there is no data because no one is searching for Valentines now and won't until just before the day if most men are anything to go by. ;)

http://internetbusinesspromoter.co.uk has two products free trials
IBP is the award-winning web site promotion and search engine submission software tool that helps you to get more revenue with high search engine rankings in Google, the new Yahoo and all other major search engines.
ARELIS is a top rated software program that helps you to build a powerful business network quickly and easily. You'll benefit from highly targeted free traffic to your web site, new business contacts, a higher link popularity, higher search engine rankings and more sales.
The quotes are from the site, i'd reccommend it

I use a product called WebCEO (http://www.webceo.com/cgi-bin/go/clickthru.cgi?id=mattk), which has lots of excellent search engine related features. It even has a scaled down free version, which would be ideal for someone looking for some info about their own personal site.

Compares keywords for both Overture and Wordtracker.
Can recommend

to keep a track of where your keywords are in MSN, Google and Yahoo - superb time saving tool, and it's free!
