Good evening folks,
I'm very new here so 'Hello', hope you are all good.
I'm rather hoping that some of you are tremendously imaginative and clever and can give me some suggestions/guidance for a business name.
The business relates to Adventure Racing. From Wikipedia as it wont let me post the link.
"adventure racing is a combination of two or more disciplines, including orienteering (if an orienteering map is used) and/or navigation (when non-orienteering maps are used), cross-country running, mountain biking, paddling and climbing and related rope skills. An expedition event can span ten days or more while sprints can be completed in a matter of hours. There is typically no dark period during races, irrespective of length; competitors must choose if or when to rest. Adventure racing historically required teams to be of a specified size and to include both men and women, but many races no longer restrict team size and include single-sex divisions. Some also include age-based categories."
The 'business' (I use the term loosely at the moment) currently consists of a forum (not business really but active with users etc) and a small ebay shop selling related outdoor equipment. We tend to go for a small range of quality goods at the best price we can manage backed up by good knowledge and friendly, personal service.
At the moment this is more of a sideline/hobby but looking to take a more professional approach to it shortly, retaining the forum, trying to up the sales on ebay and then possibly a dedicated ecommerce system/site in the future and also possibly organising a local race/event. Which leads me to considering a business name. The two that originally popped into my head were (adventure racing also known as 'AR'):
Granite AR - (as based in Aberdeen aka 'The Granite City') but discovered this name is already taken by a US team.
AR Squared - I have no idea why this popped into my head - it just did (maybe close to 'pi r squared' :p).
Any thoughts/bright ideas much appreciated.
Thanks
