Hello i am James, owner of JustOneUK (http://www.justoneuk.com) a UK advertising website where you can advertise your business for free.
I did post that already in the marketing forum however a moderator seems to have deleted it, perhaps because I didn't make an introduction first?
I operate about a dozen websites and am online 18 hours a day. I love what I do but definately need to get out more.
Hopefully I will meet some interesting people in this forum and have a great deal of marketing knowledge to share.
Back soon
James

Hi and welcome, James.
Perhaps protocol prevailed, plainly preventing previous post from publicity.
cheers, nigel

No problem, all new links will be added by the AM.
thanks for the welcome.
NB: Someone called Heart Solutions submitted an ad about half a page long, no website details and no tel number which is going to be pretty useless... ring any bells in the forum?

Hi James....
I did jump on your site, fantastic idea...just wondering, can I put an ad in every London borough!!!!Also so how long has the site been going, and are you sure there is no catch about the free adverts,I'll wait for a reply before adding to the site.
All the best ,Adrian.
[James, just went on to the website again, can you tell me the difference between the `52 adverts for £10`,and the`52` adverts for £100,that Crawley page is different to the Brent page,[which is the borough I would go for],I'am assuming the £100 price the adverts are bigger!!!!
sorry for being a bit of a lemon, over this!!!!!!]

Hi James
It's a shame you don't have a 'Global' or country-wide category - some business aren't region-specific!
Welcome to the forum. :)

sorry to use this thread to answer questions, the original thread i posted explaining everything got deleted, it probably looked a bit spammy
8) Hi James
It's a shame you don't have a 'Global' or country-wide category - some business aren't region-specific!
Welcome to the forum. :)
Mark
a)If you want to advertise on a whole region, you can use the contact form on the site and send me an enquiry. (preferably with an offer  )
Likewise if you want to advertise across all of a region eg:London
I can arrange anything.
b)the £100 adverts don't exist anymore, they are £10 now which makes them way more affordable. (£10, 50 ads, 1 year)
c)the site is getting a template facelift for 2006, and Brent is not done yet..
if you place an ad..it will be. Crawley (http://www.justoneuk.com/SouthEast/Crawley/Crawley.htm) does have the new template.
d)there is no catch for free ads...they are only text and only appear on the one specific page. the £10 ads are text/logo/image and appear on everypage.
e)the site has been online for 18 months and served 7 months in the sandbox.
if you have any questions feel free to send me PM's or use the contact form on the site, i am trying to make it an honest site that provides value for money.

James...
I'm surprised jewellery didn't get it's own heading ,rather than coming under arts and crafts, what are the chances of jewellery having it's own heading in the main list....
I would be really interested esp. if the fee is only £10...
Adrian.

Hi Adrian,
If you pay £10 your advert will be on everypage, regardless of the category.
every single person who visits the town you advertise in will see your advert for a whole year.
James.

Hi James,
No one's asked the really hard questions so far, so it's up to me!
1) What success have your advertisers had? (enquiries, increased business etc.)
2) Who visits the site (other than advertisers)? Who is it aimed at? How do you promote it?
3) What sort of traffic numbers are you getting?

hello Jane,
1) What success have your advertisers had? (enquiries, increased business etc.)
2) Who visits the site (other than advertisers)? Who is it aimed at? How do you promote it?
3) What sort of traffic numbers are you getting?
1) Honestly?, I don't know, I have not asked for feedback. Every advert that is over 1 year old has renewed (and they paid £100). There is no tracking software on the site. I make a living from the affiliates on the site eg:ebay, so someone must be clicking.
2) Traffic comes from search engines.
3) It was at 1000/day thru the summer. It has been less for the past 2 months. The price of advertising has been lowered from £100 to £10 in order to put more content on the site quickly and give advertisers more VFM (about £90 more  )
After the rebuild is finished (currently 25%) the promotion of the site will increase dramatically throughout 2006, and so will the level of content. The site is huge with over 25,000 pages. In order to put content on there i am looking at needing more than 1/4 million adverts. If someone wants to advertise for free...they can. If they want more (an advert on everypage of a town) it costs £10, no catch, no tons of spam email.
Its also free for classifieds, so if you have anything to sell............
I have been busy with opening a dozen other sites, now i am back, rebuilding the site, lowering the cost, adding more content...its all go right now.
Hopefully some of the members here who have already placed adverts will acknowledge how genuine it is.
James.

Hi James,
What do you mean by "content"?
And also, what sort of people are you attracting from search engines? What are they looking for?

Hi James and Janebert,
I'm quite to spend £10.00 in the 'expectation' that it will put my company in the eyes and minds of others. I saw an opportunity and seized it. Perhaps I may have enjoyed spending my £10.00 at McDonald's, but then I realised it's 'only' a tenner.
Twenty questions? Nup. If I were spending £100, maybe. But I've paid the £10.00, got my ad' and now I'm onto my next project. Procrastination? Nup.
Cheers, Migel

I'd like to know more about your traffic etc before paying out £10.
You sell untargeted adverts on your art website for £2.50/month
That's £30 per year for ONE advert appearing on an untargeted page called 'advertise', listing businesses that are 100 miles away from you.
and you are sceptical about £10? I am lost for words.
Your free ads are here (http://www.justoneuk.com/EastAnglia/Billericay/Billericay-arts-crafts.htm) & here (http://www.justoneuk.com/EastAnglia/Brentwood/Brentwood-arts-crafts.htm)
