I have been with Wanadoo for years but over the past few days I haven't been able to add the e-mail settings I got from the hosting company that I got my business e-mail address from, when I add another e-mail account to outlook wanadoo blocks "port 25" so I cannot set up another account.

Does anyone know which ISP's dont do this?

This is what comes up:
An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'mail.f1-aircharter.com', Server: 'mail.f1-aircharter.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 Please check your SMTP server is set to smtp.wanadoo.co.uk. Further help is available at http://www.wanadoo.co.uk/help/email/freeserveemailsettings/outlooksettings.htm', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC6F

maybe the hosting company will let you use their smtp server?

usually something like mail.yourdomain.com

Hi Greig,

I do not think Wanadoo has blocked port 25; I use Wanadoo I can send and receive email using our company addresses.

The problem might be your Operating system, I had similar problem with Win XP SP2. With separate Computer running Win 2003 server works perfectly only with XP machine would not work.
But remember to set the SMTP.Wanadoo.co.uk

Good luck

Hi Greig,

To retrieve emails from your business address, you need to use your host POP3 address. Example mail.your_business_address.com, you need to check the configuration from your hosting company.

If you need more help, please let me know.
