Anything wrong with the students edition.
I do not think you need to prove age.. (mis-spell your email) that should do it!

This may be a very annoying suggestion, but what if you buy CS3? The next level down is always much much cheaper in these cases!

Use one of the many open source notepad type applications which support the coding syntax you require.
If its just for CSS and HTML you can use visual web developer which will do the job. You don't have to be building .net based sites to use it.

Yep as Chris said, use the 2008 express version which is free, although notepad++ ftw ;)
2008 express has better intelli-sense which should help you.

Yeah getting a student version is pretty difficult :( I got one through school (Of Studio 8) which was about £70. what you had to do then, was get a load of forms signed and sent off, the actual box doesn't have a useable product, it basically has the full version on the disc, but you can only use it for the trial period of 30 days, by which time Adobe had sent out the product code :) I know a couple of friends downlaoded the trial and then got product codes from illegal sites online, a bit too dodgy for my liking!

I'm currently using Microsoft Expression Web 3 on a 60 day free trial.
So far I'm pretty impressed and it's a fairly cheap to purchase if you already own qualifying Microsoft products.

It does look good I admit but there is no support for ColdFusion tags as in DW which is a big problem...

I know that this is not at all what you are asking or implying, but I couldn't help but think of this, and it certainly made me chuckle...

rofl, obviously Joeboy is not running a business!
Adobe products are not cheap, but then again they are "the industry norm" and the quality product is there (despite their crappy installers ;) )

I'll save you guys lots of time, money, anger, stress, etc..
This site, Specialtysoftware.co.uk is run none other than the notorious JK (Jaivin Karnani), infamous for scamming people!! DO NOT USE THEM!
I've been scammed by this bloke for £700, ordered some adobe stuff, long story short, never received, never answered my emails, I'm trying to get compensation through my credit card company.
The site I had purchased from is bitesizedeals.co.uk, just do a google search and you will come across people after people that have lost their money. Once he is exposed, he just simply builds another site and changes things around a little and then continues to scam.
Here are some of the sites he's built:
PBSOFTWARE.CO.UK
KINGOFSOFTWARE.CO.UK
BUYMATE.CO.UK
CTSOFTWARE.CO.UK
BRILLIANTBUYS.CO.UK
The Federal Court in America has also issued a TRO (Temporary Restraining Order) against him and somehow he continues to operate.
Just to give you an idea of how horrible this whole thing is, check this Review site out! 407 REVIEWS, NOT 1 POSITIVE!
It seems that the law does not work as he continues to deceive and steal from people. £700 is alot of money that has been taken from me. It has put me back in my personal life as I wanted this software to freelance and start earning but I'm in the hole now. Freakin RAT!
I don't know how long this thread will be posted on this forum for. He will attempt to contact the moderator, administrator, editor, whoever it is and pursue with legal action, he's succeeded to get this done in the past on other forums like consumeractiongroup.co.uk, moneysavingexperts.com, etc..
Ironic how the law serves to protect him while we are the ones that lose out!!!
I hope that this will help some people. Too bad i can't post links otherwise I would be able to prove all this circumstantially beyond any reasonable doubt!!!!!

This posting was brought to our attention from our customers; we have nothing to do with these companies listed above. This is slanderous and untruthful about our company and requests a removal on anything that states King of Software. We are a legit company with great customer service with A++++ ratings.

It's probably been said in this thread before, but honestly sign up to you local college for a graphics related course and benefit from Student Version of CS4. It's a snip of the price of the full version.
Strictly speaking the Student version is just that and shouldn't be used for commercial work, although there are no physical limitations on the software use itself.

Hi,
I've quickly scanned all the previous posts and haven't seen this mentioned, if it has I apologise.
Buy a second hand older version such as CS2 fairly cheaply (you can get it off ebay, just make sure the user has deactivated it from their machine) and then upgrade. This works out cheaper than buying CS4 from new.

You can buy How to Cheat in Adobe Flash CS4, How to Cheat in Photoshop CS4 :)on eBay. For £5 you can get eBook plus Bonus content. On top of Dreamweaver I really recommend you these eBooks.
