My name is Adrian Madden.
Hello to everyone,so gald I stumbled across this website!!!!!
I have been twenty years, in the jewellery trade in London's Hatton Garden.I now feel the time is right to break away on my own and set up a little company to work on my own designs,as well as the manufacturing of the pieces.
I will be working from home...in a large shed in the garden,to be precise, but a very well stocked shed!!!!, it contains everything I need, and I can work very early in the mornings in my pyjamas!!!!
[Remember Marks and Spencers started from a single barrow in the East-End of London, with a sign on their barrow which read`don't ask the price, everything's a penny`....from small acorns!!!]
My jewellery is more fashion-led,than the more traditional pieces, and I have worked in all the metals[gold and silver],as well as platinum. One area,I'm keen to get in to more, is that of the corporate business jewellery, taking the logo of a company and working it into either rings,pin-badges,cuff-links or the more unusual objet d'art.
I have also design a collection aimed at the Christian community, using the names `Jesus` and `Christ` in various pendants and bangles...an untapped market!!!!!They don't appeal to every Christian of course, but I'm hoping to get them in to all the Christian shops and cafes, that there are across the country.
Another way of bringing in some money is offering a repair and re-polishing service direct to the public, and undercutting the high street retail shops that the public will go along to.
All and any advice on working from home, most welcome....and if your getting married at some stage and are looking for a brand new trade-price wedding band......
all the best Adrian.
