Hi,

I am re-designing my website and need advice, like now! (I'm impatient to get it up!)

I need to know of a good shopping cart that is REALLY easy to install as I am not techy and still use frontpage to design my site.

I also need to know more about worldpay as all these things I am hearing about paypal are not making me feel very happy.

I'll check back shortly and hopefully this thread will be fullup!

Many thanks guys

Claire

Hi claire,
Can't help you, except to say there's never much happening on a Friday night.

From what I've read, World Pay and Nochex seem to be the best alternatives to PayPal - for what its worth. Try doing a 'search' from the top toolbar.
Cheers, Nigel

Claire try Roman Cart it easy to use, nothing too technical.

However it can be expensive if you opt for all the add ins, but the free-bee works well. here is the link www.romancart.com

Try sending a nice email to the support guys of your hosting company and pray it falls in the lap of someone helpful, also send it at a time when they are not likely to be busy and you might just get a nice helpful reply because techy support staff love to offer lengthily advice when they have nothing better to do.

Looking forward to see your new site.

Claire,

Definitely try RomanCart! It's free if you don't want to accept card payments, otherwise it costs just £40 GBP per year (exc vat) to link to a payment gateway or to encrypt card details for you to manually enter them into a swipe machine.

They are always adding new features, the support is second to none, and the forums are really helpful.

Hi Claire

Both http://www.oscommerce.com/ & http://www.cubecart.com/ are great FREE open source Ecommerce packages.

Good Luck

I found out about the shopping cart that comes with my site, but it's a pay one. The only reason I thought it came with it was because it was advertised in the package, but I have now found out that it is just a discount for evo hosting people.

I'm quite happy with paypal for now though, it's doing the job. Perhaps once I've sold some more paintings I'll pay to have my site looked at by a professional.

Thanks for the advice thoug
