Alrighty There People!
It will soon be upon us again: Computer Cleaning Week
This time it falls on 21 - 26 September, and everyone is encouraged to either give their computer a really good clean, or (even better) call in a pro to get it done. :D
Some quick reminders as to why it's important to regularly have your PC cleaned:
Keyboards contain over 3,000 germs per square inch compared to 47 germs per square inch on THE TOILET SEAT!
Germs found on office equipment include e.coli, salmonella, MRSA and no doubt in recent times H1N1 - Swine Flu.
How many of you eat, sneeze and cough whilst working away at your computer - transmitting germs that will breed there.
It's gross, but that colleague that just showed you how to do that complex Excel formula may not have washed their hands after nipping to the loo - and that applies to both male and female co-workers.
As your computer fan sucks in cool air to lower it's internal temp, it's also sucking in dust and paper debris from the environment, which reduces it's capacity and efficiency, placing unnecessary burdens on your PC's components.
So listen out for CompuClean on Sun FM if you're in or around Sunderland during Computer Cleaning Week, watch out for a feature in the Sunderland Echo, and keep your eyes peeled for the van driving around.
And if you want a quote, drop me a PM!
Thanks!
